    Summary:

The legal landscape for HR is constantly shifting, and staying on top of the changes is crucial. At the December Oshkosh Area SHRM Chapter meeting, attorney Chad Wade from Renning, Lewis and Lacy will cut through the noise and give you a clear overview of the latest legal developments.

Chad will break down the most significant state and federal labor and employment law decisions from the past year. He’ll explain what these changes mean for you, your company, and your day-to-day work.

This is your chance to get answers directly from an expert. Bring your questions and be ready to learn how to protect your organization and keep your HR practices compliant.

This program has been pre-approved for 1.5 SHRM and HRCI credits.

Coaching Managers on Impactful Pay Conversations

Pay conversations shouldn't be a source of tension. Leaders look to HR to help them pause, probe, and deliver messages that build trust with employees, especially when addressing external salary data, internal comparisons, or inflation concerns.

This interactive session equips HR and compensation professionals with the tools and language to confidently guide leaders through real compensation and performance discussions.

    You Will Learn To:

    • Simplify your compensation structure and reinforce your pay philosophy.

    • Translate complex data into simple, leader-ready language.

    • Use the ENGAGE™ model to shift conversations from defensive to productive.

    • Coach managers to respond confidently to tough questions like, "Why do peers earn differently?" or "My job is posted higher somewhere else."

Lead the charge in building transparent pay practices and ensure every pay conversation reflects company values. Pay isn't a once-a-year topic—it's a story employees carry with them. Learn how to shape it.

Key Takeaway: You’ll receive a Coaching Conversation Toolkit with talk tracks, guiding questions, and case-study responses you can use immediately to support your managers.
